If you ever find yourself looking for a vacation destination for autumn, then look no further than the north east America! My wife and I embarked on this trip several years ago and got to spend time in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
Some of our favorite places ended up being random stops along the road, like this beautiful rocky beach with houses lining the edges. Always trust your gut if you think you see something worth pulling over for!
This is another great example from New Hampshire; I remember vividly seeing this sight on the side of the road, pulling off, and running in the rain to get this shot.
One of the most incredible places we visited was the Franconia Notch in northern New Hampshire, as we quickly found ourselves able to touch the rock of a mountain right in front of us as it scaled up into the clouds.
Of course you can't visit this area without stopping by Woodstock Vermont, which has been named one of the most beautiful cities in America and we couldn't agree more! Absolutely charming place with lots to see and do.
Only just 10 minutes from Woodstock is the famous Sleepy Hollow Farm that is enshrined in millions of photos, an idyllic piece of Americana.
It's not Vermont without a few covered bridges!
As you have seen, nothing beats the fall foliage in the North East, and if you hit it just right, you're in for a special time.
Hope you've enjoyed this brief trip to the North East with me, feel free to check out more of my work below!
